Notes:

A feint trace of a die disturbance is visible around the left-hand edge of the medal. It indicates that the die did not have a long life and acounts for the extreme rarity of the medal; Morikofer's portrait of Frederick the Great is more commonly found on a silver box medal containing images of Prussian victories (see Archive, 1759, # ).
