In the centre, the raised bust of Queen Victoria, wearing a diadem, to left. Around, a continuous scene of allegorical figures; below, an oval inscribed to Fanny M. Francis, 1864. A narrow outer border decorated with running devices and putti. Below: FOR SUCCESS IN THE NATIONAL ART COMPETITION. By A. Vechte. Bronzed electrotype. 145 mm. (5.8 inches) in diameter.
Condition: Extremely fine.
