Notes:

An impressively detailed contemporary cast of excellent quality, with an attractive medium-brown patina. Of North European, German facture. Two small suspension holes near the top edge.

This plaque has stylistic links with a plaque in lead by Hans Jamnitzer, sold by Spink (London) on 21 May 1996, Lot 399, for £1600 (pictured to the right of the bronze currently being offered).
