Nearly very fine, a small neat piercing at top.

Notes: Ulysses Aldrovandi (1522-1605), was a celebrated Bolognese botanist and naturalist. He carried our extensive work in plant classification and was, thus, a precursor of Charles Linnaeus. Attwood records a pierced, bronze example of the medal, measuring 41 mm., in the British Museum.
