 560. Battle of La Hogue, 1692 Neptune, amidst a furious naval engagement, drives Louis XIV from his marine car. Victory, a laurel wreath held in her outstretched right hand, stands triumphant in an antique galley, with shields of Britain and Holland; the sun, emblematic of Louis XIV, sinking over the horizon. By Philip Heinrich Muller. Silver. 50 mm. (1.95 inches) in diameter. Extremely fine and a particularly sharp and attractive example. Sorry this item is sold.
