Battle of La Hogue

560. Battle of La Hogue, 1692
Neptune, amidst a furious naval engagement, drives Louis XIV from his marine car.
Victory, a laurel wreath held in her outstretched right hand, stands triumphant in an antique galley, with shields of Britain and Holland; the sun, emblematic of Louis XIV, sinking over the horizon.
By Philip Heinrich Muller.
Silver. 50 mm. (1.95 inches) in diameter.
Extremely fine and a particularly sharp and attractive example.
