1132. Blackfriars Bridge and Holborn Viaduct: Inauguration Badge, 1869
Circular gold medal of Queen Victoria, by A.B. Wyon, set into a silver-gilt frame, on either side of which is a view of Holborn Viaduct (l.) and Blackfriars Bridge (r.); below, an enamelled shield of the City of London in red and white. To the edges of the badge are a ceremonial mace and sceptre.
Reverse: plain.
58 x 47 mm. (2.35 x 1.75 inches).
Extremely fine and most attractive.
