1399. Gian Gastone de' Medici as Prince of Tuscany, 1685
Youthful bust of Gian Gastone, to right.
Virtue guiding Prudence up a rocky path, away from a reclining figure of the Prince.
By Massimiliano Soldani-Benzi; signed on the obverse: M. SOLD. F ; and signed and dated on the reverse M.S. 1685.
Bronze, cast. 87 mm. (3.45 inches) in diameter.
Almost very fine, medium to light patina, some wear to the high, but attractive; a small and neat hole at the top edge.
Sorry this item is sold.
