MISSING ON 30 SEPTEMBER 2006 AND BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN STOLEN., c.1730 A finely worked and put together German or German-related calendar medal, showing the days of the week - 'Sonntag-Samstag', in relation to the months of the year - 'Monnath', and their respective astrological signs - 'Himmels Zeichen', etc. etc.. Silver. 44 mm. (1.75 inches) in diameter. Extremely fine and attractively toned. Notes: A scarce, finely worked and sophisticated perpetual calendar, its elements of design of rococo form. THIS UNIQUE ITEM WENT MISSING ON 30 SEPTEMBER 2006 IN LONDON, AT COINEX FAIR, EARLS COURT, WHERE IT IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN STOLEN.
