Payment may be made by personal cheque. It can also be made by Credit Card, but only through the PayPal system. This is both safe and secure, and there are no additional costs to the buyer for paying by this method.

If you simply require a casual, off-the-cuff valuation, this is a service that cannot be provided without seeing the item at first hand, and you would therefore be best advised to approach a local dealer or auction house in your area.

If you have a medal or a collection of medals that you do wish to sell, then your call or e-mail is welcomed, but please note that an offer cannot be made without seeing and examining the item(s). Thank you.

King George III: Golden Jubilee Badge

1558. King George III: Golden Jubilee Badge, 1809
A finely wrought silver badge celebrating the Golden Jubilee of King George III, his draped bust to right, hair long, in a queue, and within a rectangular border, inscribed: GEORGE III THE BELOVED OF HIS PEOPLE. The field delicately cross-hatched. An outer frame formed by an open-work wreath decorated with two roses.
The reverse has an attached pin broach for wearing.
Silver. 32 x 27 mm. (1.3 x 1.1 inches).
Very fine, light scuff marks in field and across the cheek of the king.
Sorry this item is sold.
Notes: A rare and delightful silver badge, the like of which has not been seen before. The attached pin broach on the reverse is probably a later addition.
