Large draped bust of Johann III Sobieski, his head laureate, to right.
View of the towered and spired city of Vienna; above, two eagles, each wearing a distinctive crown, hold between them the ruptured crescent of the Turks. Below, an oval vignette within an encampment, inscribed: VIENNA LIBER ATA. A. 1683 DIE 12 SEPT. On either side is a chained captive.
Wooden draughtsman.
57 mm. (2.35 inches) in diameter.
Nearly extremely fine and most attractively patinated.
