Large bust of St Paul to right. His head nimbate. PAVLVS APOSTOLVS VASELECTIONIS.
Seven-line inscription BENEDICIE INEXCELSIS DEO DOMINO DE FONTI BS ISRAEL IBI BENI AMIM ADOLESCENVLVS IN MENTIS EXCESSV, an old inked collection inventory number '49' at the top; continuous wreath border.
Bronze, cast. 89 mm. in diameter.
Very fine and better, a good early and an attractive cast, feint trace of a casting flaw above head, an even dark-brown patina.
