The naked figures of Adam and Eve standing either side of a bountiful apple tree, in which sits a monkey; Adam holds an apple, while Eve, a fig leaf from the tree preserving her modesty, plucks one from the tree. Condition: Nearly extremely fine and an attractive cast.

Notes: There are a number of variants of this medal. The examples cited in Goppel and in Habich are those more usually found, showing Eve without a fig leaf.
