The naked figures of Adam and Eve standing either side of a bountiful apple tree, in which sits a monkey; Adam holds an apple, while Eve, a fig leaf from the tree preserving her modesty, plucks one from the tree. A two-line inscription running across the field. Various scenes and figures around the lower register of the medal. The scene at Calvary, with Christ on the cross. A one-line inscription running across the field. Various scenes and figures around the lower register of the medal. By Hans Reinhart. Silver, cast. 56 mm. (2.25 inches) in diameter.

Condition: Nearly extremely fine and an attractive cast.

Notes: There are a number of variants of this medal. The examples cited in Goppel and in Habich are those more usually found, showing Eve without a fig leaf.
