Coins
Reference:4926 Edward VI Shilling, 1549
First issue shilling, 1549; arrow mint mark, on reverse side. (3.45 grammes).
Condition: Some striking weakness on part of the crown, but an unusally good example of this coinage, and certainly very fine or better for issue
Notes:
An unusual coin in being of relatively high quality of silver, for what is a base issue, and on a good size, circular flan, and without the edge splits or flan cracks often associated with this coinage. The coin has an attractive old toning, and the surface scuffing evident on the scanned image of the obverse is barely noticeable on the coin itself.
