Notes:

James Graham Goodenough (1830-75) served in the Second China War and was present at the capture of Canton in 1857. He was serving as C-in-C Australia Station on HMS Pearl when, in a skirmish in the Santa Cruz islands, he was fatally wounded by a poisoned arrow.

Bernard Currey became Rear-Admiral, Home Fleet, in 2013.
